As you may (or perhaps may not), know. The laws governing the use of a product called Phthalates have been banned in the use of Fragrance Oils. They have not been "Officially" banned and many companies still sell FO's with phthalates. Our perfumers create all our fragrances. Specifications are set and maintained such as minimum flash points, usage amounts etc. MOST ASKED QUESTION: PRICE VS. USE Now this may seem like a lot of 'Justification', and you can certainly view it as that.
WE DO NOT!
We are not the "McDonalds" of fragrance suppliers. We do not claim to have 24 hour turn around.
We create each order, we do not have hundreds of pounds of oils sitting in a warehouse or thousands of compounds to create the fragrances.
We produce them To Order, so it may take a few days longer than other suppliers.
We will never apologize for this because you receive a superior product.
One of the main questions we are asked is: "Why do your fragrances cost a little more than some other suppliers?"
Here is our answer:
We are pretty much in line with most reputable fragrance houses. The main issue is simply what are you paying for?
If you buy a fragrance below let’s say for example $13 per lb. You are getting what is called in the industry as a "cut" fragrance.
Now we are NOT saying that other companies cut their oils using DPG or other practices that were used in the past. Absolutely Not!
What we are saying is if you pay $13 and regular markup for "Wholesale" is 33%, that means that the company is buying in that product at around $8+ per lb which INCLUDES shipping. (and most companies do not use 33% markup, it is usually much higher)
To us, this is a "Cut" fragrance since it can be sold so cheaply. Even if buying in 100's of lbs of a fragrance, the cost is still a key point to look at.
In general most companies suggest a 1 oz per lb ratio for soaps and candles.
We suggest the following for most of our oils
Soap .3 to .5 oz per lb
Candles .3 to .75 oz per lb
So if you figure in the pricing vs. use you can see that our fragrances are actually less.
However TWFC has been known as one of the leaders in the new fragrance market and we are always pushing the envelope for new and upcoming fragrance trends.
That is who we are and what we do.
